The Digital Divide is off this month. Instead we'll hear the following:

Cecil Prescod interviews Terry Keleher of the Applied Research Center about the release of the Green Equity Toolkit: Standards and Strategies for Advancing Race, Gender and Economic Equity in the Green Economy.

And later we'll hear an interview with historian Alfred McCoy, a well-recognized expert on the CIA and its history of torture research as well as on American counterinsurgency efforts from the Philippines to Vietnam. He just published a new book called, "Policing America's Empire: The United States, the Philippines, and the Rise of the Surveillance State." McCoy's current article on TomDispatch.com is an  account of how America's conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan are coming home -- as increased surveillance and policing techniques that threaten American liberties and potentially provide the basis for a future domestic surveillance state:  Alfred W. McCoy, "Welcome Home, War!  How America's Wars Are Systematically Destroying Our Liberties" http://www.tomdispatch.com/post/175138
