  • :>This Saturday is March 4th, and supporters of Donald Trump have planned a series of events across the country to mark the date, and show they’re behind the beleaguered chief executive. They’re calling it March 4 Trump. While you’d think there wouldn’t be much interest in Oregon, much less the Portland metropolitan area, there is a local event planned for Lake Oswego. It’s called Oregon’s March 4 Trump, and it’s scheduled for noon on Saturday at George Rogers Park. Organizers expect a few hundred people to show up for the pro-Trump rally. At the same time, there are several activist groups organizing a counter protest, and they’re expecting an even larger crowd will be there to voice their opposition to the Trump administration.

  • :>We speak with one of the anti-Trump organizers in the studio -- Jacob Bureros of Portland’s Direct Action Alliance.

  •  :> Hundreds of demonstrators protested today at the ICE building in Portland, at the Coming Out of the Shadows: Undocumented and Unashamed Rally;
  • :> Residents of the Cully neighborhood in North East Portland marched on Saturday to protest an announced one hundred percent rent increase for the Normandy Apartment complex;

  • :> And the U-S Justice Department is dropping out of a lawsuit that seeks to overturn the Texas state voter I-D law.
