About Ellie:
With a radio career spanning over three decades, Ellie brings a wealth of experience to the airwaves. Since 1992, she's worked as an on-air personality, program director, music director, and production manager for various commercial radio stations on the East Coast. After transitioning into broadcast equipment sales, Ellie went on to work as a voice actor and audiobook narrator.
Her passion for DJing never waned, so she found a creative outlet at the virtual nightclub "Totally 80's" in Second Life, where she has performed an 80s set on Saturday nights since 2017. When Ellie relocated to Portland, she eagerly began volunteering with KBOO Community Radio, and in 2022, she brought her long-time dream of producing a show dedicated to women in music to life. Goddess Obscura became Venus Vibes, a celebration of female power, creativity, and sound.
Ellie produces the show from her home studio, joined by her ever-supportive (and mischievous) production assistants: her two cats, Zoe and Herbie.
