Host of Blues Junction
Steve Cheseborough has been performing, teaching, studying and writing about the blues for decades. He is the author of Blues Traveling: the Holy Sites of Delta Blues, and a contributor to Living Blues, Acoustic Guitar and other publications. He appeared in the documentary Last of the Mississippi Jukes, also featuring Morgan Freeman and Chris Thomas King, and was host and musical director of Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s nationally distributed “Blues Breaks.”
He holds a master's in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi, and has lectured on blues topics at academic conferences. He has taught at Port Townsend Country Blues Workshop and Puget Sound Guitar Workshop, as well as at colleges and festivals. His performances on riverboats and at festivals, museums, schools, nightclubs, jook joints and private events combine stories, history and live performance.
