A legend of alternative comics turns his gaze to history with a middle-grade grade graphic novel
Terry LaBan is a comics writer and artist whose titles have included Unsupervised Existence, Cud Comics, and The Dreaming. He’s collaborated with some of the top names in the alternative and mainstream comics industries, and he teamed up with his wife Patty to create the daily newspaper strip Edge City.
His latest project is the graphic novel Mendel the Messup, which sends a 19th century pre-teen on a perilous adventure that may change his fortunes, along with the fortunes of his village.
